WEEK 15 - RESULTS REFLECT EFFORT.
So we all know the sayings. ‘No pain, no gain', ‘you reap what you sow' and my favourite, ‘cake solves everything!’. Well ok, maybe that last one isn't actually a saying and is perhaps a little off topic but I'm only human after all!
So it's been a mad week, family illness and work craziness etc. (I know, my excuse list is like Mary Poppins' bag, a never-ending supply of unnecessary excuses to pluck out at will) so strayed a little off plan this week. There may have been incidences of McDonaldsgate, Greggsgate and midweek chinesegate. Forgive me father for I have sinned!
The actifry that I so excitedly bought in the new year sale remains neglected and abandoned in it's packaging. The spinach that I so lovingly divided and froze remains untouched and redundant and still the kettlebells that I bought 3 months ago at the start of this journey have begun exercising alone so that their life's purpose will be fulfilled.
I have an excuse for every thought, a problem for every solution and the only exercise I've done this week is horizontal armless planks, also known as napping! Somebody get me a drill sergeant please?!?!?!
Luckily for me, my online PT sessions start on 1st Feb and I'm hoping that it'll be the kick I need to actually start getting my ass in gear and start taking this seriously because I want it, I really do, I'm just incredibly lazy.
The PT sessions were supposed to be paid for by the savings I made by giving up smoking but yep, you guessed it...I didn't even last a day! I'm expecting the Allen Carr stop smoking book to arrive next week so hopefully I can afford to continue the sessions. Jeez this getting healthy stuff is expensive!!
So after a rich tea snaccident this morning, (I snaccidently consumed half a pack) and an afternoon at the walk-in centre followed my a chicken legend meal, I can't complain over this week's results. Which was disappointingly 0 loss.
I know, I know... at least it wasn't a gain (which means I have had 6 weeks gain free!!!) I've let myself down. With no real reason except that I have yet again allowed external forces to influence my behaviour and choices to a detrimental affect.
But tomorrow is a new day, luckily actifrys and kettlebells don't expire, so I have chance after chance to get this right, no matter how many times I fail, there's always tomorrow and tomorrow is a brand new day!
Thanks everyone for continuing to follow and support my journey, I appreciate all the positivity and encouragement I get as well as the new ideas and constructive advice. Here's to a new week! Cheers!
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. John Wayne
