WEEK 17 - A ROLLING STONE...

... GATHERS NO MOSS!

Such a great week!!! So many SVs and NSVs to celebrate that I'm thinking that this is my most successful week so far!

Such a great feeling!!

Let's start with my firewalk! OMG! It was amazing!!! There's something so freeing about doing something that you're not supposed to be able to do, something only a small percentage of the population ever brave and something that you're so scared of that upon completion, the feeling of euphoria has you smiling like the proverbial cat (and making you forget to write your blog post, oops).

And it made me realise, that if I can challenge myself to conquer one of my greatest fears, to push my limits so that I have valuable life experiences and mentally prepare myself to do something so unnatural, why do I find it so difficult to keep my diet in check to achieve something I want so much more than I ever wanted to walk on fire???

Sweet chilli sea bass fillet, garlic baby pots and sauteed asparagus.

Other victories for the week include; trying new foods (I'm an incredibly fussy eater and have ridiculously bad issues with food textures), losing 2 inches overall since last week, fitting in clothes that had been relegated to the back of the wardrobe, completing my first full week with my PT (even though I spent several days cursing him and walking like John Wayne!), cooking more and to top it off a 4lb loss which is my biggest loss in 14 weeks!!! Woohoo!! Yes, there was a happy dance, no, I didn't log it as exercise on my Fitbit!

17 weeks in and still moving forward.

So overall, it has been a really positive week for me, and even though I strayed a few times, I stuck within my calorie allowance, made a conscious effort to be more active and really pushed myself and it paid off!  I'm not going to deny that I'm feeling really happy with everything that's happened this week and my progress so far.  As long as I keep moving, trying, progressing and learning every step of the way then I'm succeeding.  I've started reading the stop smoking book this week too and although I'm still smoking and not wanting to stop, every day that I decide to pick it up and read it, is a step in the right direction and a conscious effort to make an improvement.  No matter how small, always look to be actively changing and challenging yourself because one day all these little steps will have you standing at the top of your own mountain a winner and a conqueror!!!

So in short lol, feeling good, feeling proud and feeling ready and dare I say it, I'm looking for a new challenge if anyone has any ideas and I'm actually thinking about the better future I have ahead.

Keep moving everyone, if I can do it, so can you.

Comment as always with your help, advise, support and stories.  Couldn't do it without you all.

Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.

P.S. That is the first pic I've posted of me, which shows how proud I am and how determined to look back on that as a new woman!!
